Evie Metz and Nick Daly are a collaborative duo whose work integrates animation, sculpture, sound, and technology. Nick creates the music and soundscapes that form the foundation of their visual narratives, while Evie, both behind and in front of the camera, meticulously handcrafts and brings their imaginative worlds to life. Together, they construct animated narratives set in primeval environments, where human, natural, and supernatural beings move guided by raw intuition.

 

In these handcrafted worlds, landscapes transcend their role as mere settings, becoming dynamic characters that either challenge the protagonists as external forces or serve as extensions of their inner psyche. By animating movement one photographic frame at a time, Metz and Daly explore existential questions through a tangible, experiential lens. Their characters embody timeless questions of existence—questions that have defined humanity and will continue to do so.
